On Sunday, October 2, 2016 the 25th annual Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure will be taking place across the country. Many of your lives have no doubt been touched by breast cancer and Campia’s gymnastics family is no exception. In 2009 Joanne Power, Campia’s former Head Coach, was diagnosed with breast cancer. It was then that we started Team Campia and this year will be our 8th year participating. Joanne has been a part of our Team each year and is now a breast cancer survivor! Since 2009 Team Campia has raised over $45,000.
We would love for members of Campia to help work towards creating a future without breast cancer. Since Run Day is a family event, we also encourage parents and other family members to join our team. We are asking all of you to join our team again this year and run for both Joanne as well as those that have been lost to breast cancer, survived it or are still fighting.
Registering for the Run is simple and can be done online at www.cbcf.org. Team Campia has now raised over $2500 for the 2016 Run for the Cure! Join our team or support our goal of raising $3000.
