As not-for-profit organization, fundraising activities are an essential part of our operation. Each family registered with Campia is required to participate in a fundraising option upon registration for the year. The fundraising option may change with each session.
Information regarding cancellations and closures will made available on Campia’s website, Facebook and Twitter pages, as well as our voicemail (709-368-5867). Cancellations at Campia will be based on weather conditions and not necessarily the closure of schools or other businesses.
Classes cancelled due to weather conditions or other circumstances beyond our control will not be rescheduled.
Campia coaches work to keep the environment at our gymnastics facility safe, friendly and respectful. Disruptive behaviour from any participant will not be tolerated. Disruptive behaviour that threatens the safety of any participant or coach will result in a notification to parents about the disruptive behaviour, documentation, possible dismissal and refusal to accept participant into future classes.
Expectations for Athletes – below are general expectations every participant must follow in order to ensure athlete safety and provide the most productive class environment.
• Receive permission from their coach before leaving the gym area.
• Obey and observe all safety practices of the gym.
• Respect for coaches and other athletes.
• Harassment, inappropriate language, bullying of any kind is unacceptable.
Viewing gymnastics classes is permitted from the viewing area only. Parents or visitors are not permitted to enter the gym floor or view from the stairs. We ask that spectators refrain from contacting athletes or coaches during class time as this can be distracting and unsafe for the athletes and coaches. Photography and videography are strictly prohibited due to safety and privacy of other children.
Our facility is peanut free and scent free. Our allergy list changes based upon the registered members for each session and will be posted in our facility. If you or your child have an allergy we should know about please let us know.
For our recreational classes we encourage participants to wear comfortable clothing free from belts, buckles or zippers. Examples include gym shorts, leggings, jogging pants, t-shirts, and leotards. We ask that your child not wear baggy clothing or jewellery. To ensure safety, bare feet is preferred and long hair should be neatly tied back.
We have a lost and found in our lobby. At the end of each month, remaining items will be donated to The Salvation Army. Campia is not responsible for lost, damaged or stolen items.
